About Us
IT For Change was created in 2008 as a result of discussions with numerous nonprofit Executive Directors and other staff members.
We noticed that many of these nonprofits were facing the same technical barriers, and these barriers were often having significant impacts on growth.
Out of these discussions and observations we created IT For Change with the goals of:
- Understanding the typical obstacles nonprofits have with using technologies. Our focus has been on the website, as this is the hub of all communications.
- Addressing these obstacles and working with nonprofits to co-develop solutions that are customized to their needs. This takes into account inputs such as number of staff, level of technical expertise, mission and goals for the website, budget etc.
- Encouraging nonprofits to view their website as a living, integral part of their ongoing marketing & communications. We do not view any website design as "successful", unless staff are fully engaged in using the website and can see measureable growth as a result of their efforts.
